Memon Ladies Association, Kochi
The annual general body meeting of the Memon Ladies Association was held on 15/10/2019 at Salay Mohammed Sait, Shadi Mahal Kochi. Meeting started at 10:30 AM with the Qirat by Mrs. Anjum Babu. The President Mrs. Kulsum Ahmed made the welcome speech and Secretary Mrs. Tabassum Masood placed the financial report of the year.
Later, the executive members - Mrs. Kulsum Ahmed - President, Mrs. Reshma Anwer - Vice President, Mrs. Tabassum Masood - Secretary, Mrs. Tasneem Arif - Joint Seceretary, Mrs. Anjum Babu- Treasurer, were re-elected and a new working committee was formed comprising the following members. 1.Sakina Bai, 2. CUTCHI MEMON JAMATH - New Committee 2019-2021 - September 2020 Issue
On September 1st election was held for the position of Secretary and the working committee members of the Cochin Cutchi Memon Jamath. On September 3rd the General body meeting of Kochi Jamath was held at Salay Mohammed Sait Shadi Mahal. At the GBM, Jamath related topics were discussed and Jamath President Mr. Anwar Hashim Sait, announced the names of the winners of the election held at Phulwari School, on 1st September 2019, under the strict supervision of the newly elected Returning Officer Mr. Sadique Essa Sait and Asst. Retruning Officer Mr. Iqbal Zackariya Sait.
Mr. Nazeer Ismail Sait is the new General Secretary and Mr. Rafeeq Usman Sait, Mr. Adam Essack Sait, Mr. Mahmood Ebrahim Sait, Mr. M.K.Aslam Sait, Mr. Nazeer Abdul Lathif Sait, Mr. Abdul Aziz Essack Sait are the new managing Committee members.
We wish them the best and hope as Mr. Rasheed Usman, mentioned during the speech that they won’t consider the new designations as a decoration on their names. The community expects from them selfless commitment in serving the community and become shining examples for the future office bearers.
Our Jamath President is a person who got many unique ideas and visions for the progress of our community (Read Face to Face with Mr Anwar Hashim). Hope the new committee working together with the President will be a game-changer and will bring more prosperity in the lives of our community members. His new vision, “Job for all” is a foresighted program that can bring prosperity to our community. Let us all, the elected members and the members of the community work together to make this noble cause a reality. Insha Allah.

On January 26 th India’s 71st Republic day was celebrated under Kochi Cutchi Memon Jamath at Memon Mohalla, Mattancherry, Kochi. Before the flag hoisting, the preamble of the Indian constitution was read by Mr. Mohammed Hassif. Afterward, Jamath President Mr.Anwar Hashim Sait hosted the flag. Jamath members and residents of the Mohalla participated in the ceremony. Jamath President Mr.Anwar Hashim Sait spoke about the current situation prevailing in the country and our duty towards holding the constitution at high esteem.
IQBAL LIBRARY, COCHIN - REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION 2020
On January 26 th India’s 71st Republic day was celebrated by the managing committee of the famous Iqbal Library, Mattancherry, Kochi. Kochi Jamath President Mr.Anwar Hashim Sait hoisted the flag and afterward, a meeting was held inside the library office. Prominent personalities from Kochi spoke about the CAA and NRC. Mr.Saleem Shakoor presided over the meeting.
